I don't know what I'm doing....
the reason behind every disorder known to man

Humans. Ahhh...what mysterious being are these who would give their lives, their dignity and their sacred honor...for such an unattainable thing such as control. What has our motive behind all we do come to? Why is it that humans are born to thirst after power in the first place? Where did this tortuous epiphany arise from?
Upon looking in my pschology book today, I came accross the realization that ever disorder I had just read about, was based on the need for control. For example, Anorexia/Bulimia-and other related eating disorders-all are the outcome of the distressed individual trying to gain some method of control over their surroundings. OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) also allows the individual some sort of control over themselves and their surroundings. Looking into agression problems as well as the minds of sexual offender-the same thing is present in their outlook. Freud may have been onto somthing, but, I don't think every thing leads back to sex, I think it all leads back to control. Question, comments, concerns are all appreciated!

Very true kendra. People want to know that they are in control, eating disorders are based around control because sometimes what we eat is the only thing we can truely control. I have to say that some of the relationships i have been in were all about control. I wanted to control and manipulate and it flipped on me.

So what is on your mind with this control thing?

I dont really like to have to much control...To much control gives you more things you have to worry about. Well that is all I can think of .

I agree....people like control for some reason...most people just have the urge. It makes them feel powerful and comfortable, and I guess they just get some kind of mental trip from it....
